"Celebrate Tiverton" is a three-day, town-wide summer festival taking place throughout Tiverton July 26-28, 2013. Visit www.celebratetiverton.org for all the details.
One of the many events will be a festive SUMMER COOKOUT at Sandywoods (behind the Bulgarmarsh Recreation Area) on Saturday the 27th, 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Acacia Cafe (www.acaciacafe.com) will cater this fantastic event.
The cost is just $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The menu will include hamburgers and cheeseburgers with sides and all the fixings, chips, cookies, watermelon, lemonade & coffee. Dine outside at tables on Sandywoods's beautiful covered porch, or head inside to the air-conditioned hall.
Plan to arrive early for a FREE "Arts in Celebration" family performance at 4:30 pm, featuring renowned storytellers and musicians Christopher Carbone & Katherine Carbone (http://home.earthlink.net/~bpresent/id4.html). The Showstoppers youth singing group will also perform during the cookout.
After dinner, please stay for our 7 pm zydeco concert & dance featuring the high-energy six-piece band Planet Zydeco ($12 in advance, $15 at the door, children under 12 free). More info at

There will also be guided stargazing in the Sandywoods fields from 8:30 pm to 10 pm, with telescopes provided by the Astronomical Society of Southern New England.
