Dartmouth Man Allegedly Grabs Steering Wheel, Causes Accident on Route 24

charged a Dartmouth, MA man with domestic disorderly conduct and vandalism after he allegedly caused his girlfriend's car to crash on Route 24.

Roger Piche, 26, of 644 Fisher Road, Dartmouth, MA, was arrested at 12:20 a.m., Sunday, May 6. He was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

According to Lt. Patrick Jones, officers responded to a report of an accident on Route 24 north near the Main Road exit that night. Upon arrival they saw a 2001 Volkswagon against the exit guardrail with two occupants. Police spoke to the operator of the vehicle, a woman, who alleged she was having an argument with her boyfriend, Piche, when he reportedly grabbed the steering wheel, causing her to lose control and strike the guardrail.

Based on that, Jones said Piche was arrested.
