THIRTEENTH ANNUAL PAWTUCKET ARTS FESTIVAL
Where/When: Most events happen around the Blackstone Valley Visitor's Center at 175 Roosevelt Ave. Pawtucket, which is also a major RIPTA hub. There are a variety of events from Sept. 7 to Sept. 25.
Why Go: Enjoy the arts in Pawtucket with music, theater, dance, art events and more.
Price: The cost varies depending on the event.

Where/When: Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope Street (Route 114), Bristol, on Sept. 10 and 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Wildlife rehabilitators and experts from across the Northeast will be showcasing a wide variety of extraordinary birds of prey at the largest raptor celebration in New England. Eagles, falcons, owls and hawks will be featured in live flight demonstrations and educational programs for bird enthusiasts of all ages.

Where/When: Providence Children's Museum, 100 South St., Providence on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Free admission for grandmothers and grandfathers all day. Children can craft cards and collages in Discovery Studio from 1 to 3 p.m.
Price: Grandparents are free and regular admission is $8.50.
