Fall River Man Charged With Robbing Man at Knife Point

charged a Fall River man with first degree robbery after he allegedly robbed a man last month on Main Road.
Joseph Daanunciacao, 19, of 91 Park St., Apt. 1, Fall River, MA, was arrested at 10:32 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8. He was charged with one count of first-degree robbery.
Lt. Patrick Jones said police received a call on Jan. 25 from a 19-year-old man who alleged he was just robbed at knife point while walking on Main Road near . The victim was interviewed at police headquarters who identified the suspect, Joseph Daanunciacao, and several other suspects passed him in a vehicle and they were known to him, Jones said. The victim alleged the suspects jumped out of their car and approached him on the street.

"He alleged Daanunciacao pulled a knife out of his pants and told him to empty his pockets," Jones said.
The victim claimed to have given Daanunciacao between $600 and $625 in cash, and they took the money and fled the area. The victim was reportedly not injured.

"The victim gave us a statement and a warrant was issued on Jan. 26," Jones said.
Jones said detectives were able to get in contact with Daanunciacao, who reportedly turned himself into Second District Court on Feb. 8. He was released on bail, and Jones noted the case will be referred to the Attorney General's Office.
