While some businesses in Tiverton and Little Compton have been around for "as long as you can remember," many have closed their doors due to poor economic times or simply moved to a new location. But we want to know what businesses you think would thrive in our area and what empty storefront would provide the perfect location.

The property at 67 West Main Road, Little Compton, formerly housed the Country Harvest Restaurant. It's comprised of five lots. On Wednesday, owner Paul Borges said he closed it down right after The Station nightclub fire in 2003 due to the sprinkler system. In 2007, he said he tried to make it into senior community housing through Newport's .

Borges said there is a need for affordable community housing in Little Compton, especially for seniors. However, the idea was received with strong public opposition, and Borges said some neighbors did not want the noise of ambulances and lights.

The building sits vacant on West Main Road and the old restaurant sign broke during Hurricane Irene and hangs on some bushes nearby.

Borges gave Brenner Realtors a six-month window to sell the lots, or else he will sell them.
