Free Mother's Day Fun and More

Enjoy some free fun for and on Mother's Day. Also enjoy other family friendly activiteis like  the Imagination Movers, Touch a Truck, and the History Kids at Linden Place Mansion.

• IMAGINATION MOVERS
  Where/When: Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset St., Providence, RI, May 5, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. shows (shows run approximately 70 minutes.)
  Why Go: Kids and their parents can enjoy the Imagination Movers from their hit show on Playhouse Disney. They are described as having “a blend of rock ’n’ roll energy, slapstick comedy and parental wisdom -- all wrapped up in bright blue coveralls."

• FREE MOTHER’S DAY CRAFT
  Where/When: Center Court, Swansea Mall, 262 Swansea Mall Drive, Swansea, MA; May 7, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  Why Go: Make a Photo Frame Magnet for Mom! This free event is open to the first 100 kids who sign up in advance at the Customer Service Center, 508-679-2543.

• FAMILY DAY AT LINDEN PLACE MANSION
  Where/When: Linden Place Mansion, 500 Hope Street Bristol, RI; May 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  Why Go: Visitors to Linden Place will enjoy a living wax museum featuring Linden Place’s own History Kids dressed in period costume. Press the painted dot on their hands and they’ll come to life and delight all with information about the mansion and its famous occupants. Historic games will be exhibited and taught to visitors by the History Kids throughout the day on the Linden Place lawns.
  Price: $8, $6 for seniors/students and AAA members, $5 for children 12 and under. Children 6 and under and Linden Place Members admitted free.

  Where/When: , Glen Rd & Heidi Drive, Portsmouth, RI, May 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  Why Go: Everyone will have the opportunity to see, touch, blow horns, and learn about dozens of cool vehicles.There will also be various activities for the children and food will be available for purchase from the Portsmouth Lions Club. Proceeds from the event will go toward Portsmouth Library purchases.
  Price: $3
• FREE ADMISSION FOR MOMS ON MOTHER’S DAY
  Where/When: 3 locations: Roger Williams Zoo, Providence, RI, Buttonwood Zoo, New Bedford, MA and Providence Children’s Museum, Providence, RI; May 8, times vary.
  Why Go: Moms enjoy free admission and families enjoy some family friendly activities.
  Price: Free admission for moms with paid child. Admission fees vary for each location. Please check RWZ, BWZ and PCM websites for details.
