I hope you saved that P&G flyer that came in the mail this week, because it’s going to make you money! The deals this week are more toothpaste (if you have four kids who each want their own tube, you won’t be sick of these deals!).
Deal: Crest Pro-Health Rinse or 3D White Toothpaste or Satin Flos - each $3.29 with $3.29 extra bucks reward. All three have a $1 coupon in the P&G flyer, which means you can be +$1! For an Oral-B toothbrush, there's a $3 coupon in Sunday’s paper and $3 extra bucks = FREE!

5. Make your own laundry detergent
The cost savings of this is HUGE not to mention less chemicals going into your family’s clothes. I have been using this for over a year with great results. Just follow these steps:
a. Boil 4 cups water.
b. Grate one bar of soap into small shavings (that’s a pain; I have taken to cutting it into the smallest pieces I can with a knife). Slowly add to boiling water and stir until dissolved. Lower heat to simmer.
c. Put 3 gallons of hot water into a five gallon bucket.
d. Add one cup washing soda and ½ cup borax and the dissolved soap. Stir until combined.
e. Cover and let stand for 24 hours.
Tip: It is very clumpy and does better if shaken, which is rather hard to do with a five gallon bucket. I have a friend who saved her detergent bottles and pours the homemade detergent into these. Also easier for dispensing this way.
