Frugal Family: Toy Swap, CVS Deals and Newport & Bristol Restaurant Week

Six deals this week, including Wilbur-McMahon School's "TV Turn Off Week," Leo's Ristorante and a toy swap.

 1. Bullying: Let's Talk; A Dinner Conversation
Deal: Free family-style full-course dinner for your entire family while having a lively discussion about how to create an environment where bullying behavior is not tolerated.
When: Tomorrow Thursday, March 24, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at theMore details: Discussion and a BINGO game to be led by Police Lt. John Reis (ret). Open to parents and their middle school-aged children.  2. "Turn off TV Week" for the .
The parent teacher group Little Compton PST has arranged for a week’s worth of free activities to keep the kids entertained after school.
Today Wednesday, March 23, they have rented the Carousel Family Fun Center in Fairhaven, MA, from 4 to 6 p.m. All Wilbur-McMhaon families are welcome to skate for free.
On Thursday, the middle school kids are welcome to stay after school to play our version of “Minute to Win it."
On Friday, the elementary school kids are welcome to stay after school to watch a magician perform.
And, for any child that returns their form stating they didn’t watch TV for the week, they will get a free book at next week’s book fair.

3. Toy Swap at Little Compton Community Center
This Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the is hosting a toy swap. You can bring your children’s outgrown toys and exchange for others by refilling a bag that you brought, or you could purchase a bag to fill for $5. There will also be local crafts for sale as well as toys & treats priced for children to buy. Contact the LCCC for more details at 635-2400 or lccc@lccenter.com.

 4. Deal: Three course prix fixe lunches for $16 and dinners for $30 at many restaurants in downtown Newport and Bristol. The list of restaurants participating is huge, including in Portsmouth, in Newport and in Bristol.
There are also many events in conjunction with Restaurant week such as a wine class at Newport Wine Cellar & Le Petit Gourmet, Newport Storm and the Brick Alley Pub surf & turf dinner, and at Sakonnet Vineyards.

5. ABC 6’s Meals & Deals

Good through: there are only 30 left, when they are gone, so is the deal!

Leo’s is participating in restaurant week, I am not sure if you could use this gift certificate then, but give them a call and ask!
