Frugal Family: Wishing Stone Farm Veggies, Community Center Clothing Swap and Easter Shoe Sale

1. Wishing Stone Farm
We have another local farm to highlight this week. is located in Little Compton and owned by Skip Paul and Liz Peckham. Wishing Stone Farm has a community supported agriculture (CSA) program, and specializes in organic vegetables and commercial kitchen specialties such as salsa and pickles. This year they are making a few changes, allowing for more flexibility of pick up and selection. More information can be found at their website www.wishingstonefarm.com.

2. Curtains at JC Penny
We are on the final stages of our renovations, which means tough decisions like bedding and curtains. Thankfully, I found quite a bargain for curtains at JC Penny. We were looking for something simple; we have tried to stay on theme with the “decoration” portion of the schoolhouse. We were looking at many stores and at different styles until I found the Savannah III ready made roman shades at JC Penny. They come ready made in one length- 64in and in widths from 23in to 72in. There are 16 different colors to choose from. When purchasing 2 or more shades the prices go from $35-$100 at full price to $19-$60- that’s a HUGE savings! When I went to the store in the Dartmouth Mall (the ladies there are very patient & helpful- trust me- this was NOT an easy decision) there were some curtains in stock and the ones that were not could be ordered and shipped to the store with no extra charge.

4. Duck Tape Sheets- free sample
Deal: Duck Tape is introducing new Duck Tape Sheets. I don’t know about your kids, but mine love duck tape, especially the colored kinds. Every Monday they will be giving away free samples to the first 10,000 visitors to their facebook page, starting at 6 p.m. EST.
