Little Compton Police: Copper Reported Stolen from Campground and DUI

report a breaking and entering of a water tank storage shed at Round Meadows Camp Ground last week.
The campground's owner, a Fall River man, reported at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, that someone had broken into the storage shed at the campground on South Shore Road. Police found a forced entry, and the owner reported that approximately five feet of copper piping and a water meter was missing.
The matter remains under investigation.

DUI
Megan Mello, 25, of 9 Magnolia Way, Little Compton, was arrested by police at 12:58 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and refusal to submit to a chemical breath test. Police reported Mello was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and, after a brief investigation received the DUI charge.

Alleged credit card fraud
A Colebrook Road woman reported to police at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, that fraudelent charges were made on her credit card. The matter remains under investigation.
