Little Compton Police: Domestic Incident, Business Checks Found in Road

charged a man with domestic vandalism and disorderly conduct after he reportedly got upset with his grandfather.
Andrew Turcotte, 20, of 119 Colebrook Road, Little Compton, was arrested at 2:20 p.m., Monday, April 30. He was charged with domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct.
Police responded to the residence for a report of an argument. The caller said her son, Turcotte, had an argument with his grandfather and proceeded to punch a hole in the wall. He also reportedly turned furniture upside down in the house during his rant. Turcotte was arrested and charged.

Business checks found scattered in the road
called to report finding checks scattered along West Main Road belonging to the former , located at 67 West Main Road. Officers mde contact with the owner, who checked his building, which showed no signs of forced entry. The owner reportedly said he kept the checks in his old office but had no idea how someone could have gotten them.

Bench warrant
Gary Smith, 46, of Providence, was arrested at 1:13 p.m., Wednesday, May 2. He was taken into custody based on an oustanding arrest warrant.
Window smashed while operating
A resident came to the police station at 7:39 p.m., Wednesday, May 2 to report that the back window of his car was smashed out while traveling on Willow Avenue. Officers responded to the area to speak to potential witnesses. Polce reportedly spoke with a few people who were outside at the time of the incident. None of the witnesses reported seeing anything thown or the firing of a gun.
Harassing phone calls
A Crandall Road resident reported at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2 that they stated receiving several harassing phone calls over the last two days. Officers later made contact with the responsible person, and were found to be a bill collection agency.
