Little Compton Police: DUI, Pot Possession and Bench Warrant

arrested a local man on drunk driving charges early Saturday morning on West Main Road.
Brett Griffin, 48, of 20 Snell Road, Little Compton, was arrested at 1:21 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, on West Main Road, and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Police initially stopped Griffin for a motor vehicle violation, and during a brief investigation after speaking to him, took him into custody.

Pot possession
David Breault, 48, of 36 McGurk St., New Bedford, MA, was arrested at 11:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, on Crandall Road and charged with possession of marijuana.

Police reportedly pulled Breault over for an operator violation and, after speaking to him, smelled marijuana coming from the car.
Bench warrant
Casey Quarry, 27, of 7 Dearborn St., Newport, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, on West Main Road. Quarrey, a passenger in the car being driven, was taken into custody based on an outstanding bench warrant in Second District Court for failing to appear.
Boundary dispute
Police were called to a West Hill Lane residence at 7:02 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, for a report of an argument. After speaking with both parties, police determined it was about a boundary dispute. Police asked both parties to work the matter out or pursue civil litigation.
