Little Compton Police Log: Man Arrested With Heroin and Cocaine

arrested a Tiverton man on drug charges last week after a motor vehicle stop and discovery he was also wanted by the .
Joshua M. Medeiros, 26, of 130 Brayton Road, Tiverton, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. on Friday, May 27, on Long Highway for having a loud exhaust, according to Lt. Antone Marion. He was charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine and released to the custody of the Narragansett Police.
Police discovered Medeiros was wanted by the Narragansett Police on an arrest warrant for forgery.

After he was taken into custody, Marion said, police discovered a hypodermic needle on the floor of Medeiros’ driver's seat. Police seized a small amount of heroin and cocaine from the vehicle.

Police responded to a report of an accident at the intersection of Peckham Road and Long Highway at 11:25 p.m. on Friday, May 27. A vehicle driven by Staci B. Meehan, 33, of North Dartmouth, MA, was stopped at the stop sign on Peckham Road when a vehicle driven by Victoria DiCarlo, 21, of Georgetown, MA, rear-ended Meehan's vehicle, according to police. No one was injured.
Car strikes deer
Police responded to an accident on Peckham Road at 8:28 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. Stephanie L. Rocha, 23, of Little Compton had struck a deer. There was a small amount of damage done to the vehicle, and the deer ran off into the woods, according to police.
Driving on suspended licenses
- Christopher S. Toulan, 24, of 69 Nanaquaket Road, Tiverton, was arrested by Little Compton Police at 10:23 p.m. on Monday, May 23, on Peckham Road. Toulan was charged with operating a motor vehicle after the license was suspended.
- Police issued a summons to Dwaine P. Clemons, 42, of 300 Amity St., Apt. 410, Fall River, MA, after police stopped his vehicle in the Sakonnet Point area at 3:21 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, for driving on a suspended license. Police were investigating a report of Clemons' vehicle "acting suspiciously."
Bench Warrant
Jerome Moton, 31, of 4 Meeting House Lane, Little Compton, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, at his residence. Moton was taken into custody based on an oustanding Newport Superior Court bench warrant for failing to appear for his pre-arraignment conference.
