Little Compton Police: Pair Arrested For Carrying Pot

charged two people last week with marijuana possession after they were caught speeding in town.

Victor Lara, 70, of 15 Main St., Swansea, MA, and Eamon Lara, 29, of 29 Phillips St., Providence, were arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 1:34 p.m. Both were charged with possession of marijuana.

Police reportedly stopped a vehicle for speeding on West Main Road. When the officer approached the driver, Victor Lara, and began speaking with him, he says he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The officer reportedly seized a small amount of marijuana from both men and took them into custody.
