Little Compton Police: Pot Possession, Arrest Warrant and Vandalized Car

Pot possession

Shane Gallagher, 25, of Attleboro, MA, was arrested at 5:37 p.m., Monday, May 28. He was charged with possession of marijuana. Gallagher was stopped for speeding on West Main Road and officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to . After a search, officers found a bag of marijuana on Gallagher. He was arrested, booked and later arraigned.

Arrest warrant

Samuel Billings, 26, of Attleboro, was a passenger in Gallagher's car at the time of the May 28 arrest. He was taken into custody on an oustanding warrant for not paying court fines. He was charged with turned over to court, according to police.

Car vandalized

A South Shore Road resident reported at 12:58 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, that his car was damaged and broken into during the overnight hours. Police arrived and viewed the vehicle. They reported it appeared someone used a tool to unlock the vehicle and they took the money from inside.

Domestic argument

Police responded to a Crandall Road residence at 7:36 p.m., on Saturday, June 2, for a report of a domestic argument. Officers arrived and found the suspect had already left in his vehicle. The caller reported she asked him to leave after arguing and he refused. The woman reportedly told the man she called police and he left abruptly. The argument as reportedly only verbal and no action was taken.

License plate deja vu

A resident came to the station at 12:52 p.m., Saturday, June 2, to turn in two license plates found in the road. Officers made contact with the plate owner who reported he discarded them a while ago, and reportedly said he had no idea how they ended up in the road. Officers destroyed them again at the owner's request.

You can't launch your boat there

Police responded to Watson Reservoir at 4:49 p.m., Wednesday, May 30 for a report of people trying to launch their boat into the reservoir. Officers made contact with the people in question, informed them it was private property and that no fishing was allowed.

iPod found

A resident came into the station at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 28 to turn in an iPod he found on the Commons. A short time later the owner called upon it missing. It was later turned over to her.
