Little Compton Police: Warrant Arrest, Stolen Coins and Boat Found

The following reports were supplied by the Little Compton Police Department. An arrest does not necessarily mean a conviction.

Warrant arrest

Kyle Grace, 47, of New Bedford, MA, was arrested at 8:14 p.m., Wednesday, March 21. He was taken into custody after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation. He was arrested based on an outstanding warrant with the for a charge of fruad. Grace was booked and later turned over to Barrington to face charges there.  

Stolen coins

A Main Street resident from Adamsville reported to the station on Wednesday, March 28. He claimed that sometime between December and March 28 a collection of coins that were inside his house had been taken. Police are currently investigating.

Boat found

A Pond View Drive resident reported to police at 1:29 p.m., Tuesday, March 20 about finding a boat on South Shore Beach back in August. Police came to to the residence and were able to obtain registration numbers, and the owner was contacted and said he wanted his boat back. He made arrangements to pick it up.

Welfare check

Police responded to a South Shore Road residence at 5:55 a.m., Monday, March 19 to check on the welfare of a woman. Police were able to amke contact with her and was found to be okay.

Suspicious vehicle

A Willow Avenue resident reported at 10 p.m., Friday, March 23, seeing a suspicious vehicle leave private property. Police located the vehicle in question and the driver said he was lost.

Fraudulent debit card charges

An Amesbury Lane resident reported at 11:12 a.m., Saturday, March 24, that several fraudulent charges were made to her debit card. Police report that the account in question was closed and a report was filed.
