PHOTO: Fishing On Nanaquaket Pond Bridge
You couldn't have asked for better weather on Tuesday in Tiverton and Little Compton.
With school out for April vacation and the weather getting close to 80 degrees Tuesday, people basked in the sunshine around Tiverton and Little Compton.
Dan Cote, of Fairhaven, MA, stood on the Nanaquaket Pond bridge fishing with his brother. He said the day's been slow to catch anything. A Tiverton native, Cote said he used to catch a larger variety of fish at the pond than what's available today.
Not less than a couple of minutes after a quick interview, Cote felt a tug on the line, and reeled in a pogie. He said they were heading to Sakonnet Point next.
