Police Arrest Tiverton Man For Passing Fake Money

Tiverton Police arrested five individuals in the last week for various charges, including DUI, receiving stolen goods and passing fake money.

The following weekend arrests were reported by on Monday, Feb. 7:

  • Dean T. Racicot, 42, of 68 Pershing Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Feb. 4 at 10:09 p.m. at his residence. Racicot was taking into custody on an outstanding bench warrant in Second District Court.
  • Shontell Jean Thomas, 39, of 37 Bullard St., New Bedford, was arrested by Tiverton Police on Feb. 5 at 7:16 p.m. at the Bank of Newport on 614 Main Road, Tiverton. Thomas was charged with operating a motor vehicle with an expired license.
  • Christopher Brando, 32, of 392 Hooper St., Apt. 3, Tiverton, was arrested on Feb. 5 at 8:42 p.m. at his residence. Brando was charged with passing counterfeit money.
  • Zachary W. McGaw, 25, of 105 Evergreen Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Feb. 6 at 2:28 p.m. at 16 Bucks Way, Tiverton. McGaw was charged with receiving stolen goods.
  • Eugene McElroy, 68, of 255 American Legion Highway, Westport, MA, was arrested by Tiverton Police on Feb. 6 at 10:36 p.m. McElroy was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and refusal to submit a chemical test.
