Police Find Nearly Two Pounds of Pot on Tiverton Woman

arrested a local woman Monday and charged her with several counts of drug possession and domestic disorderly conduct after receving a report that she had assaulted her sister.
Gretchen Frost, 32, of 13 Lark Lane, Tiverton, was arrested at 1:17 p.m., Monday, Dec. 26. She was charged with one felony count of manufacturing, possession and delivery of marijuana, two counts of possession of prescription pills (Clonazepam and Adderall), domestic simple assault and battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
Chief Thomas Blakey said officers were dispatched to the Lark Lane residence for a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, police reportedly found an emotional woman "flipping out," alleging she was engaged with her sister, later identified as Frost, in an argument that escalated. She alleged Frost grabbed her hair and punched her in the back of the head, all occurring in front of Frost's daughter and their mother, who owned the house.

Blakey said when police searched Frost, they found a small piece of plastic sticking out of her right pant pocket, containing more than six round green pills, later identified as Clonazepam. Blakey said Frost admitted she did not have a prescription for the pills and had them illegally. She was brought back to the station for booking.
Then, Blakey reported that Frost's brother went in her car trunk to find clothes for his sister, when he discovered a luggage bag containing approximately 1.88 pounds of marijuana, a pipe, a scale, two jars, pills and other contraband. Officer seized the items. Blakey added that Frost reportedly told officers the marijuana was hers.
