Police Release Tiverton Hit and Run Victim's Name; Suspect Still Sought

are still looking for the driver and sedan involved in a that occurred at the intersection of Main Road and Hilton Street.

Lt. Patrick Jones said the victim, John Kieron, 70, of Hilton St., Tiverton, remains in intensive care at Rhode Island Hosptial with injuries sustained from the accident.

According to witnesses, Kieron was struck by a light-colored four-door sedan heading north on Main Road last Wednesday. The vehicle fled the scene, traveling into Fall River. Police said the car sustained damage on the passenger side and the passenger's side rear view mirror.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident, or may have any information on the vehicle, is urged to call 401-625-6716. The accident is under investigation by Tiverton Detectives Brendan McKinnon and Daniel Martin.
