Seafood and Scenic Views Earn Award For The Boat House

The restaurant connoisseurs are talking, and in Tiverton has the great mix of seafood, indoor and outdoor dining and views of the Sakonnet River.

OpenTable, a real-time online reservation service for restaurants across the world, named The Boat House this week as one of 50 restaurants nationwide with the best scenic views. It was the only restaurant chosen in New England.

“We are thrilled to be named to OpenTable’s awards list this year,” said Jason Cieto, general manager of the Boat House, in a press release. “We’ve always thought our view is exceptional, but it means so much coming from our patrons who have dined here and experienced it for themselves.”

In this annual awards list, OpenTable asked diners to pick their best spots for feasting their eyes as well as feeding their stomachs. The results were tallied and the official list includes 50 scenic eateries from coast-to-coast.

The Boat House is a member of the Newport Restaurant Group, a division of Newport Harbor Corporation. It is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with brunch offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
