Spring Fair and Walk To Stop Bullying in RI

Walk, ride and play the day away at a few free family events as well as some events for worthy causes.

    Grab your family and go for a walk or a ride for a good cause, then enjoy some child's play at the Children's Museum and RISD and a Spring Fair. 
  • TOURS FOR TOTS
    Where/When: RISD Museum, 224 Benefit Street, Providence, RI, May 19, 2 to 3 p.m.
    Why Go: Interactive tours with read-aloud story time and gallery activities for toddlers. No two tours are the same. Come to them all. It's aimed for children aged 5 and younger. 
    Price: Free with admission, space is limited, please RSVP to museumyouth@risd.edu to reserve your spot. Admission: under 5 free, adults $10, senior citizens $7,  children ages 5 to 18 are $3, RISD, Brown, students, faculty, and staffa are free. College students with ID are $3.
  • METLIFE FAMILY FRIDAY
    Where/When: Providence Children’s Museum, 100 South Street, Providence, RI, May 20, 5 to 8 p.m.
    Why Go: Free admission sponsored by MetLife; from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m build a tower in the FETCH!™ Lab
    Price: FREE
  • 1ST ANNUAL WALK TO STOP BULLYING IN RI
    Where/When: Roger Williams Park in Providence; May 21, 9 a.m.
    Why Go: Join the Rhode Island Parent Information Network and STOP Bullying Now! RI by walking, rolling, strolling and pulling wagons 3.1 miles to put an end to bullying in RI. Funds raised will support programs that work to stop bullying.
    Price: Registration may vary. All walkers will eceive a STOP Bullying RI gift. It's $10 (12 years and under) for a STOP Bullying Wrist Band, $20 (13yrs or older) for a STOP Bullying RI T-Shirt, $100 for a gym bag, $250 for a folding chair with a gag and $500 and up for 10% of the donation amount as a gift card
  • RIDE WITH K-ROB FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL
    Where/When: Pierce Field to the Carousel, East Providence, RI; May 21, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Bring the kids and enjoy a day full of interactive games, activities, live music, and the First Annual K-Rob Foundation Ride with K-Rob (Kevin Robinson is a five-time X Games gold medalist). The course is 4 miles long. 
    Price: Registration fee is $10 per individual and$20 per family. The first 300 registered receive a free t-shirt and the first 100 t-shirts are autograph by K-Rob. All registered will receive free ticket for the carousel. All ages welcome. Helmets required for all  those riding bikes, skateboards or scooters.
  • Where/When: St. Philomena School 324 Corys Ln, Portsmouth, RI, May 22, 10 a.m.to 4 p.m.
    Why Go: A great family fun day filled with carnival rides, old fashioned games, prizes, pony rides, raffles, music, HUGE flea market and clothing sale, as well as, books and plant sales
    Price: Free admission
