Super Bowl Save: Lost Boy Finds Way to Off-Duty Cop's House

While many fans were watching the Super Bowl kickoff, one Portsmouth family and emergency officials were searching for a missing boy. 

The  received a phone call from  at 6:32 p.m. Sunday. A 10-year-old boy was reported missing from a Boys Town New England residence on Flanagan Road. 

According to Fire Capt. Michael O'Brien, the boy ran away from home. Officials were uncertain as to how long the boy was missing. 

Fortunately, the boy went to the house of a woman he knew. The woman then brought the boy to a Newport police officer's house in Middletown. 

The off-duty police officer, Lt. Michael Caruolo, immediately called emergency officials.   

Portsmouth Rescue assessed the boy, who was uninjured. He was returned to his home safe and sound.
