Tiverton Couple Charged With Assault in Alleged Family Spat

The following arrests were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. They do not indicate a conviction.

charged a husband and wife with assault after they allegedly attacked family members.

Christopher Buckley, 50, and Jacqueline Buckley, 47, both of 825 Bulgarmarsh Road were arrested on April 9 and April 10, respectively. Both were charged with domestic simple assault and battery.

Officers responded to the residence on April 9 for a report of a domestic dispute, according to Chief Thomas Blakey. Officers reported Buckley was allegedly striking his brother, rolling around on the floor knocking furniture over and striking him in the body and face. Jacqueline, who was arrested Tuesday on a warrant, allegedly struck the victim's girlfriend in the eye, causing a cut.

Ronald Bouchard III, 23, of 686 Mohawk Road, Somerset, MA, was arrested at 2 p.m., April 9 at 76 Florence Ave., Tiverton. He was charged with domestic vandalism.

Blakey said police reported to the residence and spoke with Bouchard's parents, who alleged their son, Ronald, got into a hostile argument in their backyard and was kicking their fence. It was then alleged Ronald threw a large water bottle their their front bay window and fled in his vehicle. He later reportedly turned himself in on a warrant.

Alleged assault at middle school

A 13-year-old boy, from Tiverton, was arrested at 11 a.m., April 11 at . He was charged with assault and battery. Blakey said officers were called to the school at 10:30 a.m. for a report of a fight in the gym locker room. It was alleged a fight began after the boy allegedly began pushing and name-calling another male student.

Pot possession

Francisco Macedo, 29, of 10 Briar Drive, Westport, and Matthew J. Braga, 29, of 149 Tecumseh St., Fall River, MA, were both arrested at 6:35 p.m., April 9. They were charged each with one count of possession of marijuana (first offense). Blakey said an officer on post on Stafford Road saw a vehicle go by with a seatbelt violation. He pulled the vehicle over and observed an odor of burnt marijuana. After a search, Blakey said police allegedly found marijuana on the driver, Braga, and the passenger, Macedo.
