Tiverton Fire Department Extinguishes Rt. 24 Car Fire

Tiverton Fire personnel responded to a brief car fire on Monday afternoon on Route 24, according to officials.

Chief Robert Lloyd said a fire was reported on Route 24 near the Eagleville Road overpass around 4 p.m. It was extinguished within 15 minutes, he said.

He said the operator and passengers were standing outside of the vehicle when fire fighters arrived. No one was injured.
