Tiverton Firefighters Getting Buzz Cuts For a Good Cause

This is the third year getting their heads shaved for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money toward childhood cancer research. They will be at McFaddens on March 14 at 5 p.m.

Four members of the are participating in the St. Baldrick's Foundation charity this year and will be at McFaddens in Providence on Wednesday, March 14 getting their heads shaved for a good cuase.

Fire departments around the state now participate in the annual buzz-cut for the California-based non-profit, which commits its funding toward research for childhood cancers and help survivors live longer, healthier lives. This is Tiverton's third year participating and raised nearly $1,700 .

The goal this year for Tiverton Firefighters Local 1703 is $2,000 and so far $495 has been raised. Donations to any of the firefighters can be made here.
