Having a book published in today’s tough market can seem like an impossible dream. But, in reality, getting your book idea into shape and into print can hinge on just the right advice from a pro. Do you need an agent? Should you connect with an editor, cover artist or designer? What about e-books and self-publishing? Nationally-known author Peter Mandel will pass on the insider’s tips aspiring writers need to know in order to create a marketable first book and get it into the hands of exactly the right gatekeepers in the publishing world.
Peter Mandel is the author of eleven children’s, humor, and animal-focused titles published by Macmillan, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, Henry Holt, Penguin, and others. A contributor to The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, and The Providence Journal, his books have been translated into Japanese, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Danish and have been part of exhibits at the Museum of Natural History in New York and at the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
