Tiverton Police: DUI, Pot Possession, Assault and Drunk Teen Hiding in the Bushes

DUI and pot possession

Sean P. Kinnane, 21, of 271 Stony Hollow Road, Tiverton was arrested at 2:03 a.m., Sunday, May 20. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol (first offense), possessin of marijuana (first offense), refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test, refusal to submit a chemical test, speeding and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of controlled substances.

pulled over a vehicle doing 50 in a 40 mile per hour zone on Stafford Road, according to Lt. Patrick Jones. The officer observed a vehicle veer over the fogline and operate in the breakdown lane. Jones said the officer attempted to stop the vehicle but continued at a slow rate of speed before coming to a stop in front of . The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Kinnane, who reportedly showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Jones said he submitted to a field sobriety test and failed. After the arrest, police allegedly found four marijuana cigarettes and a small quantity of marijuana in a glass jar in the glove box.

Kinnane was taken back to the station, where he refused to submit a chemical test.

Police find alleged drunk teen hiding in the bushes at 3 a.m.

Jonathan Nunes, 19, of 25 Terrace Ave., Tiverton, was arrested at 3:21 a.m., Saturday, May 19. He was charged with disorderly conduct.

Jones said police were called to the area of Cynthia Avenue for a report of a man on foot in the area, and the potential he could have been involved in a house break. Police reportedly found the 19-year-old Nunes hiding underneath some low-hanging branches and in a bush. Jones said they took him into custody, and alleged he was under the influence because he started to yell and scream.

Alleged assault and then warrants on the victim

Ann Errico, 51, of 2669 South Main St., Fall River, MA, was arrested at 2:24 p.m., Thursday, May 17. She was charged with domestic simple assault.

Jones said police were called to for a report of disorderly conduct, where it was learned Errico was having a dispute with her estranged husband over a motorcycle. During an argument, it's alleged Errico kicked her estranged husband in the leg. Jones said she was arrested.

Police learned the victim, George St. Pierre, 50, of 303 State Ave., Apt. 3, Tiverton, was wanted on arrest warrants, with charges that include larceny uner $500, obstructing a police officer and vandalism.

Fight at middle school

A 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, both from Tiverton, were arrested at 2:52 p.m., Monday, May 14. They were both charged with disorderly conduct. Jones said police responded to a call of a disturbance at . Upon speaking with the principal, Jones said police learned two female students were involved in an altercation at school. Each were charged, received a five-day suspension and referred to the juvenile hearing officer.

Warrants

• Joseph Gonsalves, 25, of 487 Fourth St., Apt. 2S, Fall River, MA was arrested at 1:44 p.m., Thursday, May 17 at Buddy's Place. He was taken into custody on an outstanding bench warrant in Sixth District Court. Jones said police picked up two individuals scrapping in the basement of Buddy's Place. A check revealed the two were there with permission from the owner. The check also revealed the bench warrant for Gonsalves.
• Mark Dailey, 43, of 684 King Phillip Hwy., Apt. 1, Fall River, was arrested at 8:15 p.m., Friday, May 18. He was taken into custody on two outstanding arrest warrants for eluding police and driving on a suspended license. Jones said Dailey was pulled over for doing 45 in a 25 mile per hour zone, and a background check revealed the warrant.
