Tiverton Police Log: Domestic Assaults, Warrants

Domestic Assault
Rhianna Gardener, 38, of 564 East Rd., Apt. 2, Tiverton, was arrested on Friday, June 15 at 1:30 a.m. She was charged with domestic simple assault. According to Lt., police arrived at Gardener's apartment shortly after midnight for a report that Gardener and her ex-boyfriend were arguing. Officers learned that the argument began when Gardener's ex-boyfriend and father of her two children refused to give her a ride and she allegedly punched him in the face twice. Police noted the victim had injuries to his face that were consistent with his story and took Gardener into custody. She was held overnight at Tiverton Police headquarters and arraigned in the following morning.

Courtney Rubello, 21, of 73 Fairfield Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Friday, June 15 at 9:34 a.m. She was charged with domestic simple assault. According to Jones, officers responded to Rubello's apartment just before 9 a.m. for a report of a father and daughter arguing. Rubello's father alleged that she struck him in the face after her dog attacked him. Police reports said that the victim's injuries were consistent with his story and arrested Rubello. She was arraigned and released later that day.
Arrested on Warrant

Richard Mello, 35, of 56 Duke St., Fall River, MA, was arrested on Saturday, June 16 at 10:21 p.m. He was taken into custody on an outstanding Superior Court bench warrant for nonpayment of $1,100 in fines. Jones said police stopped a car at the intersection of Walnut Street and Main Road after it reportedly ran over a curb exiting a parking lot. Officers realized Mello, a reported passenger in the car, was wanted during a computer check and arrested him. He was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston.
Breaking And Entering
Guy Anctil, 27, of 180 Hamlet St., Fall River, was arrested by North Smithfield Police on an active bench warrant from Tiverton Police for breaking and entering at Monday, June 18 at 10:12 p.m. He was held at police headquarters overnight and was arraigned in.
