The following arrests were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

arrested Carlos Ramos, 24, of 6 Fales St., Central Falls, on Wednesday June 20 at 7:15 p.m. and charged him with driving without a license, obstructing and officer, and took him into custody on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant.

Police stopped Ramos car on Main Road at about 6:45 p.m. after an officer noticed Ramos and his passengers were not wearing seat belts. After running a computer check on Ramos and his passengers, police realized Ramos had given officers a false identity and soon learned it was because he was wanted on a district court bench warrant for failure to appear for a payment review.

After confirming that Ramos also did not have a valid license, officers arrested Ramos for the active bench warrant, obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and driving without a license.
