Tiverton Police Look to Give Home Heating Oil to Those in Need

The Tiverton Police, in conjunction with Mike's Oil, is looking to give out $1,000 worth of home heating oil to needy residents this winter.

After making a large donation to the 's food pantry in Tiverton , the is looking to help needy residents keep warm this winter through home heating oil donations.

Sgt. James Costa said their union, the International Brotherhood of Police Officers Union Local 406, is looking to purchase about $1,000 worth of home heating oil and work with a local company, on Grandview Avenue, to disperse it to Tiverton familes in need of it.

"We continue to ask the community," Costa said. "We're able to make these donations through the support of the community through their donations to the union."
