Tiverton Police: Pills, Pot, a Knife, Assaults and Restraining Orders
The following arrests were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. They do not indicate a conviction.

charged a Fall River man with possession of pills, pot and a knife last week on Stafford Road.
Johnathan D. Silva, 22, of 418 East Main St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was arrested at 9:54 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the area of 760 Stafford Road. He was charged with two counts of possession of Suboxone pills (second offense), possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of a knife with a blade larger than three inches and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of controlled substances. He also received a motor vehicle citation.
Silva was pulled over for having a rear tailight out, according to Lt. Patrick Jones. The officer reportedly noticed a large folding knife tucked into the pocket of the driver's side door, and asked the Silva to step out. Jones said that during the pat down, the officer found a quantity of marijuana in the left ankle sock area.

Back at the station during an inventory search, police also reportedly found Suboxone pills and more marijuana on Silva.
Alleged assault by husband

Jose Adorno, 46, of 15 Bay St., Tiverton, was arrested at 3:20 a.m., Friday, March 2. He was charged with domestic simple assault and vandalism.
Jones said officers responded to the Bay Street residence for a report of a domestic in progress. Upon arrival, a woman said she was getting ready to go to the gym when an argument began with her husband, Adorno. She alleged he hit her with his right hand closed-fist, causing a bruise under her left eye. He also reportedly grabbed her cell phone and threw it to the ground, breaking it. Jones said Adoro was then arrested.
Violating no contact order in RI, while being served one from MA
Robert J. Rancourt, 21, of 24 Evergreen Ave., Tiverton, was arrested at 6:03 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28. He was charged with violating a no contact order (third offense).
Jones said officers were dispatched to an East Road residence to serve Rancourt a restraining order issued from Fall River District Court. They were also aware Rancourt had an active no contact order issued against him in Rhode Island from having contact with his grandmother. Jones said officers arrived at the residence and were greeted at the front door by the grandmother, who said Rancourt was inside. Based on that, he was taken into custody.
Alleged assault during child swap
Stacy Costa, 37, of 1 Mill St., Apt. 1401, Tiverton, was arrested at 4:10 p.m., Sunday, March 4. She was charged with domestic simple assault.
Jones said officers responded to a call at the from a man's grandmother, saying he had gotten into a confrontation with his former girlfriend. Officers arrived and met with the man, who identified Costa and alleged she "flipped out" and pushed him while he was there to pick up their child.
Bench warrants
- Nicholas Tristian Walker, 23, of 57 Walnut St., Tiverton, was arrested at 9:54 a.m., Thursday, March 1. He was taken into custody on an oustanding Super Court bench warrant.
- Derek Miranda, 30, of 10 Weston Ave., Apt. 20, Quincy, MA, was arrested at 5:24 p.m., Friday, March 2. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant issued in Sixth District Court. Jones said officers responded to a Hooper Street residence for a report of a domestic. Upon arrival, police confronted Miranda in the driveway, who was reportedly having an argument with the mother of his children over a custody issue. Officers determined there was no problem, but discovered he had a warrant for unpaid court fines.
