Tiverton Woman Allegedly Hits Parked Vehicle With Car

The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Tiverton woman was arrested Thursday morning after the vehicle she was operating struck a parked car at . 

Victoria Foley, 53, of Tiverton, was operating a vehicle on Boyd's Lane when the vehicle's tire went flat shortly before 10:30 a.m.

The vehicle turned into the parking lot for East Coast Construction, where the vehicle struck a parked car. No one was inside the car at the time. No injuries were reported.

Upon arrival, police say, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on Foley. She apparently failed a field sobriety test and, after being transported to the police station, allegedly refused to submit to a chemical test. 

Foley was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and refusal to submit to a chemical test. She was later transported to district court.
