Police Seize Oxy, Pot, Cash and Guns in Drug Trafficking Arrests
Detectives in Tiverton and Little Compton worked together to arrest two Tiverton residents in drug trafficking case.
and police arrested two residents on Friday as a result of a six-month investigation, charging them in an alleged drug possession and distribution operation, as well as possessing firearms.
Timothy Durfee, 24, and Sara Cantin, 24, both of 2423 Main Road, Tiverton, were arrested on Friday, Dec. 2, at their house and arraigned before a bail commissioner on Saturday, Dec. 3. Both were ordered held without bail.
The two are charged with possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute suboxone, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of firearms while committing a crime of violence.

During the execution of a search warrant at the Main Road residence, police seized approximately 300 oxycodone and suboxone pills, 167 grams of marijuana and $5,802 in cash. Police also seized several firearms, and the estimated value of the seized drugs is in excess of $10,000.
Lt. Patrick Jones credited the "exceptional work" of the Little Compton and Tiverton detectives, who during the six-month investigation conducted "several" controlled purchases of oxycodone and marijuana from the suspect's residence.

"Clearly Mr. Durfee was providing a large quantity of prescriptions illegally to the town," Jones said.
Durfee was , on charges of passing counterfeit bills, reckless driving, malicious injury to property, manufacturing/possessing/delivering oxycodone, driving in possession of controlled substances, presence of alcohol while operating a vehicle, duty to stop at accident, resulting in personal injury or death, resisting legal or illegal arrest.
