Woman Charged With Embezzling $10K From Little Compton Little League

have charged the former treasurer of the Little Compton Little League with embezzlement after she allegedly stole $10,000.
Jodi A. Ibbotson, 49, of 150 Long Highway, was arrested Wednesday and charged with embezzlement and fraudulent conversion, according to Little Compton Police Chief Sidney Wordell.
During a three-week investigation into missing funds from the little league, Ibbotson, the treasurer since 2006, was questioned and reportedly confessed to taking money over an extended period of time. Wordell said police executed a search warrant at her home on April 30, where financial records were seized.

Det. Sgt. John Faria is working with an auditor and the current little league treasurer to determine how much money was embezzled, currently estimated in excess of $10,000. Ibbotson is scheduled to be processed on Friday.
