Magnet Fisherman Says He Snagged Hand Grenade Off Warwick's Rocky Point Pier

WARWICK, RI — A magnet fisherman said he snagged a hand grenade off Rocky Point pier in Warwick.

"Had quite the eventful day today magnet fishing off of Rocky Point pier....it's exactly what it looks like," Gerard Perreault posted to social media along with a photo of his catch.

A commenter asked Perreault, "Is that a (expletive) pineapple grenade?" to which he replied that it "sure (expletive) is" and, "Gotta love Rhode Island."

Perreault also said the "police and bomb squad came and took care of it.
