• Central Falls Man Charged With DUI: Cops (patch.com) — Warwick residents may notice increased police activity after a Central Falls man was arrested late Sunday night on Centerville Road and charged with driving under the influence. State police say the 29-year-old was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in court, underscoring ongoing enforcement of impaired driving laws in the area.

Interscholastic League officially recognizes girls flag football as varsity sport (woonsocketcall.com) — A Rhode Island Interscholastic League committee meeting in Warwick has officially elevated girls flag football from club to varsity status starting in spring 2027, making Rhode Island the first New England state to do so. Sixteen high schools have already committed teams, and organizers expect more to join as Nike and the NFL help support the sport's launch statewide.
