MA Man Charged With Obtaining Property By False Pretenses: Police (patch.com) โ€” State police say a 51-year-old Massachusetts man was arrested in Warwick on charges of obtaining property by false pretenses and providing false documents to a public official. Investigators from the Financial Crimes Unit took him into custody in the city, then processed and arraigned him before he was released on personal recognizance.

Electric Boat, NEIT to establish submarine workforce training center in Rhode Island (manufacturingdive.com) โ€” Electric Boat and New England Institute of Technology are investing in a new Shipbuilding Advanced Institute for Learning in Warwick, expanding NEIT's training space from 30,000 to 100,000 square feet. The center is expected to train about 3,000 workers in skills like welding and shipfitting over three years, feeding high-paying jobs at Electric Boat's Quonset Point shipyard and strengthening Warwick's role in submarine production.

3. 71-year-old man identified as victim in fatal I-95 three-car crash (wcvb.com) โ€” A 71-year-old Warwick man, Harris Shippee, has been identified as the victim of a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Westwood, Massachusetts. Police say his three-wheeled motorcycle collided with a Jeep, seriously injuring his passenger and leaving another driver unhurt, while investigators continue to examine what caused the crash.

4. UNH poll shows Foulkes far ahead; Hoffmann on top for AG, Khamsyvoravong leads for LG (wpri.com) โ€” A new UNH poll of Rhode Island Democrats shows Helena Foulkes far ahead of Gov. Dan McKee, while Warwick state Rep. Joe Solomon Jr. trails two rivals in the attorney general primary. The survey also finds tight races for attorney general and lieutenant governor, with Xay Khamsyvoravong narrowly leading the LG field as many voters remain undecided.
