WARWICK, RI — The Warwick Police Department said it was attempting to identify a couple in connection with the theft of shoes from Dick's Sporting Goods.
"The Warwick Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the two pictured individuals in connection with a reported shoplifting incident at DICK'S Sporting Goods," the department said in a social media post.
"The individuals reportedly left the store with several pairs of footwear without paying while accompanied by a young child and an infant in a stroller," the post said. "We understand that parenting requires teamwork, but recruiting the kids for the getaway is not the kind of family activity we recommend."
The department asked anyone who recognizes the couple to call 401-468-4200 or email tyler.luiz@warwickri.gov.
