NY Man Wanted On Texas Larceny Charge Nabbed In Rhode Island: Cops

WARWICK, RI — A New York man wanted on a Larceny charge in Texas was apprehended in Rhode Island, police said.

Deshawn Reid, 36, was arrested as a fugitive from justice from the state of Texas, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Reid, a Mount Vernon resident, faces a charge of larceny — theft of property greater than $2,500, the release said.

Reid was arrested during a commercial enforcement inspection on Interstate 95 in Warwick, according to the release.

Reid was proessed at the Wickford Barracks and taken to Third District Court for an arraignment, the release said.
