Kent Hospital raises $250K for Women's Care Center (pbn.com) — Warwick's Kent County Memorial Hospital has secured $250,000 for its Women's Care Center following the Evening of Hope fundraiser, strengthening local obstetrics and maternity services. Hospital leaders say the money and a major gift from the Howes family will fund facility upgrades and new equipment. 3. Honor Flight takes veterans to Washington, D.C. (wpri.com) — From Warwick's T.F. Green Airport, 70 Rhode Island veterans and their companions departed on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. to visit war memorials and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub has now flown roughly 1,000 veterans on these deeply meaningful journeys of recognition.

'The India Experience – Season 2' to Screen in Cambridge, MA and Warwick, RI (indianewengland.com) — Warwick moviegoers can catch "The India Experience – Season 2" at Apple Cinemas on Sunday, Oct. 18, with a post-screening Q&A from filmmaker Bharatbala. The eight short documentaries spotlight India's diverse cultures and personal stories, and proceeds support the nonprofit Virtual Bharat project. Advance registration is required and seating is limited for the Warwick showing.
