• DUI crash suspect faces upgraded charge after passenger dies (wpri.com) — West Greenwich police say a Sept. 9 crash on Falls River Road has turned fatal, leading to an upgraded charge of driving under the influence resulting in death for 38-year-old driver Barbara Sanford. Investigators report her pickup hit a tree, injuring front-seat passenger Joseph Rogowski, who later died, while a back-seat passenger was unharmed; Sanford is free on bond pending a November court screening.
