WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket man was charged with obtaining more than $10,0000 worth of property by false pretenses, police said.
Anthony Desjardin, 22, was also arrested on charges of forgery and counterfeiting, passing of counterfeit certificates, bills or notes, and conspiracy, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"This arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and Desjardin surrendering himself into the Lincoln Woods Barracks," the release said.
Desjardin was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a court date, according to police.
