Arts Guild of Woonsocket to Sponsor a Gallery Night

Beautiful Art. Community Gathering. And Free Food. What could be better?

In an ongoing effort to work hand in hand with community businesses to promote the arts in the city of Woonsocket, The Arts Guild of Woonsocket is hosting a Gallery Night at CMM Picture Frames and Gallery. C. Marc Morelle is the owner of CMM Picture Frame and  Gallery, as well as an Arts Guild of Woonsocket member. He has graciously offered to open his studio space for other members to display and sell their work. To celebrate this new endeavor, the Arts Guild is sponsoring a Gallery Night At CMM Picture Frame and Gallery (1300 Park Ave, Woonsocket, RI) on October 17, 2014 from 5:00pz-7:00pm. There will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

If you haven’t heard of the Woonsocket Arts Guild before, this event would be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about this vibrant local organization. In 2012, a group of local artist gathered to form a guild that would contribute to the revitalization of the arts in the Woonsocket community. As a result, the Arts Guild of Woonsocket was created in the hopes of providing all artists and artisans, in all mediums, the opportunity to display, perform, produce, and share their creative talents with each other and the surrounding communities.

The Arts Guild of Woonsocket is dedicated to working with the community, and has been involved in many city-wide events, including the Autumnfest, the Candlelight Stroll, and has organized and  hosted the first and second Fine Arts Festival in the city. The guild works with local students and schools to ensure that the next generation keeps the love of the arts alive in our community.

The Arts Guild meets at Stage Right Studio, which also houses the Arts Guild of Woonsocket Art Gallery. It is located at 68 South Main Street, in Woonsocket.  In addition to the city-wide events and the fine arts festival, the guild also hosts gallery nights, and art shows. New members are always welcome. Members do not have to reside in Woonsocket, nor do they have to be an artist. The guild has members who are visual artists, musicians, writers, and artisan jewelry makers, as well as members who just love the arts. Men and women of all ages and backgrounds contribute to making the arts guild an amazing group. The art displayed in the gallery speaks for itself. The works include oils, watercolors, colored pencil, encaustics, photographyand mixed media.

If you are interested in becoming part of the Arts Guild of Woonsocket, there is a member page on their website with information on how to join. www.artsgw.com
