Baldelli-Hunt's $100/person fundraiser in Providence

Baldelli-Hunt counting on rich friends to get re-elected.

Why is it that Rep. Baldelli-Hunt has to go out of the district to hold a fundraiser?  Also, why is she charging the exorbitant amount of $100 per person?  Who in Woonsocket has that kind of money?

The simple answer to that question is, no one. That's why she's taking her fundraising to a Providence venue, Costantino's Ristorante on Federal Hill.

For the casual observer in Woonsocket, that's the restaurant owned by the family of the former finance chairman, Steven Costantino. The same Steven Costantino who helped push through legislation that got Curt Schilling $75 million for his now defunct 38 Studios. The same bill that Rep. Jon Brien co-sponsored and Rep. Baldelli-Hunt raised no objections to.

So, it looks like Ms. Baldelli-Hunt has nowhere else to troll for funds, so she's looking to hit up her wealthy freinds, the same friends who talked her out of voting for a tax equity bill even though she originally signed on as a co-sponsor.
