Community Care Alliance Announces Free Family Support Group Providing support for adult family members whose loved ones live with mental illness

Community Care Alliance has launched a new community-based support group for adult family members or those caring for individuals living with mental illness. The monthly group began on April 22nd and meets every 4th Wednesday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Wellness and Recovery Center of CCA, 55 John Cummings Way (Social Street entrance). Pre-registration is not required and all are welcome to attend.

The group was created to discuss the needs of families living with the consequences of mental illness and to help gain support from others in similar circumstances while gaining perspective about coping and communication. If you live with or care for someone living with mental illness and you’re in need of support, the Family Support Group is for you.
