Community Care Alliance Receives $5,000 Grant from the Rhode Island Foundation
Community Care Alliance has received a $5,000 grant from the Rhode Island Foundation that will enable the organization to provide rental and utility assistance for low income individuals and families to help stabilize housing and prevent homelessness. A portion of the grant will be used for personal care products to enhance the well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS.
“Every grant we make underscores our commitment to moving Rhode Island forward. We work closely with our donors and grantees to ensure there are the resources and the resourcefulness to achieve great impact,” said Neil Steinberg, the Foundation’s president and CEO.
“This grant comes at a very critical time, as many people are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of utilities and rent,” said Benedict F. Lessing, Jr., Community Care Alliance President/CEO. “We greatly appreciate the support of the Rhode Island Foundation to assist vulnerable families.”
