DELMORE SCORES NATURALLY; CSP UNITED U10 GIRLS ROUT SOUTH SHORE

Halle Delmore's three consecutive goals spark another win for the U10 Girls Soccer team.

NORTH EASTON, MA—Forward Halle Delmore was a one-woman wrecking crew Sunday afternoon, scoring a natural hat trick in the game’s first 20 minutes en route to a CSP United U10 Girls 7-0 victory over South Shore Select at Stonehill College in Maple Premiere League action.

Delmore’s deft ball-handling set up her first goal. She went around several defenders and had just the South Shore keeper to beat, which Delmore did with a low shot that turned out to be the winning goal.

She wasn’t done there.

Ava Normadin found Delmore open in front of South Shore’s net to double their score. Delmore completed the natural hat trick a few minutes later with a nice assist from Maggie Ray to make the score 3-0 before the half. Several fans showed their appreciation of Delmore’s accomplishment by throwing their hats onto the field.

The lead would only grow in the second half because CPS United used their opponents as a shooting gallery and were relentless on defense. United’s “Wall,” anchored by Mya Miller, Stasia Tood, and Liz Luca, cleared every chance away allowing Keeper Kaitlyn Berger to sit back and enjoy the game. Berger did not face a shot on net in the game and has faced just one attempt in the last two contests—on a penalty kick.

In the second half, Mackenzie Lavallee scored to make it 4-0 from a great pass by Madelyn Dion. A few minutes later, Dion moved the ball up the middle, switched it from right to left, and placed a perfect shot passed the goalie to extend its lead. Shortly thereafter, Lavallee and Dion connected again to make it a six-goal margin. The last goal belonged to Ray on a beautiful pass from Delmore on the left side of the field to Ray on the right.

CSP had many opportunities from Mary “Spider” Daley hitting the cross bar couple of times. Sienna Morris, Rachael Grieve, Normandin, Alexandra Guerra, and Katie Jakubiak all had opportunities to score but the ball either hit the cross bar or was slightly to the right or left of the net. CSP United improved to 5-0-0 so far this season and has allowed just one goal during that stretch.
