Annual Cumberlandfest

Where/When: Diamond Hill State Park Cumberland, RI Friday, August 5, 2011 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday August 7, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday August 8 12:00 pm to 5 p.m.

Pricing: Admission is $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, and Children under 10 Free,  Free Admission on Monday. 'Pay one price' wristbands for rides  available for $20 on on Friday night and Monday afternoon.

City Art Festival

Where/When: Saturday August 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at  2 Kennedy Plaza in Providence, RI.

Why Go: Adults and children can enjoy entertainment and food as you view the works of over 100 artists.

Rock Art

Where/When: Saturday, August 6 at 11 a.m. at Purgatory Chasm State Reservation, 198 Purgatory Road, Sutton, MA

Why Go: Did you read about Purgatory in last week's ? If so, this is a great time and a great excuse to get out there and enjoy all that the state park has to offer. So grab your sketch pad or nature journal, maybe make granite paper or collect rubbings or rock etchings.

Rock and Roll Marathon Health and Fitness Expo

Where/When: Friday, August 5 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, August 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rhode Island Convention Center, One Sabin Street, Providence, RI 02903.

Why Go: For two days, over 60 exhibitors will offer free samples, showcase the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health and nutritional information and much more.

Pricing: Free and open to the public.

Beat the Mid-Day Heat Bowling

Where/When: Tuesdays and Fridays from Noon until 5 p.m. at 1666 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI.

Why Go: This is not only a great deal but its also a ton of fun!
