Fire Weather Watch in Effect for Parts of RI
Dry, warm weather and gusty winds expected to bring critical fire weather conditions Monday afternoon into Monday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for Providence, Kent and Bristol Counties due to dry and windy conditions Monday.
Monday afternoon calls for southwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 to 30 mph. Winds will become mostly gusty between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday afternoon. The relative humidity, temps in the 70s, and wind gusts could result in critical fire weather conditions.
A fire weather watch means critical fire weather conditions may occur. Residents should listen for later forecasts and watch for possible red flag warnings. According to the National Weather Service any fires that start may spread rapidly and become difficult to extinguish.
